An Eitre Music and Theatre Tour of Sörmlands
Celtic band An Eitre will be beginning a music and theatre tour of Sweden on 15th March and running until 28th. An Eitre are a spectacular five piece band who have their own interpretation of Irish traditional music. Driving Irish instrumental dance tunes and ballads and stories from the vast store of Irish and Scottish songs.
Norway:
Job Opportunity for research in Oslo
The New to Oslo website has an advertisement for an English speaker to work with on a research project. The employer needs someone who could work full time for two to three weeks, starting immediately. The task will be to find new companies that we can contact with segment marketing campaigns. Once the project is finished there may also be other opportunities to do work in the marketing department.

Norwegian Irish Business Association Hosts Ryanair Presentation
The Norwegian Irish Business Association will play host to a Ryanair presentation on 20th January from 8.30am to 10am at the German-Norwegian Chamber of commerce.NIBA and its Irish counterpart NIBC are the premier contact points for companies doing business between the two countries, whether as subsidiaries of Irish/Norwegian parents or as importers, exporters or providers of services.

Spring Session Schedule for Irish Music Society of Oulu
A new Spring schedule of sessions is to be announced soon on the Irish Music Society of Oulu website. Keep an eye out for them! The next upcoming gig is on Saturday 23rd January when Cascade will perform at Tervasoihtu, at 10pm. Live traditional Irish music sessions are usually on at 17:00 in St. Michael's Irish Pub located on Hallituskatu 13-17 in Oulu City Center with free entry.
Denmark:
Irish and Scottish Music Concert in Denmark
Kenny Speirs and Judy Dinning will perform their style of Scottish and Irish music in concert on 19th February at 8pm. They will go onstage in Copenhagen Folk Club and will be joined by Tom Rose Bourg and Claire Mann on piano and violin respectively.
Danish Irish Society AGM to be held in February
The Danish Irish Society want to wish Happy New Year to all members from Elsebeth, Ane Luise, Bill, Marcus & Mich (The committee of the Danish Irish Society). Their next date for their AGM is February 9th. Check back closer to the time on the website for the agenda and more information on the meeting.
English Language Theatre Show 'Hancock's Last Half Hour'
The Danish Irish Society are currently looking at organising a visit to see the play 'Hancock's Last Half Hour', which premiers in Denmark by the theatre company That Theatre, from 24th February until 27th March. Anybody interested in joining a group to go to see Hancock’s Last Hour can drop a line to the editor editor@danskirsk.dk.
Lord of the Dance Irish Show Bound for Denmark
This spectacular Irish dancing show, created by Michael Flatley, will tour across Denmark this month. For more than a decade, Lord of the Dance has thrilled audiences around the world. With dark rhythms, unique and tempting love stories, and a theme of lust prevailing in this musical dance show.
Denmark and Germany tours coming soon for Grada
Last month Grada completed a tour of Germany and Switzerland – and are already planning gigs and tour dates for 2010.
English Language Theatre 'Mama Mafia'
The theatre production 'Mama Mafia' will take place in Musikhuset Århus in the New Year from 21st. - 24th. Jan. 2010. This production will appeal to anyone looking for a dead-funny cocktail of all the Mafia Movie classics from "The Godfather" to "Pulp Fiction". In the 1930s, Five poor Italian families struggled for survival on the streets of New York City. The Pepperonis, the Calzones and The Broccoli Brothers turned to organised crime. The Filofaxes turned to VERY organised crime.
