If
you are in Continental Europe and you wish to watch or
follow the All-Ireland Hurling or Football matches, then you have the following options:
- First
-you would like to find an Irish pub nearby which is showing the
match.
- Below
is a list of Europe's Irish pubs which had Setanta Sports in
2003, and a list from 2001.
Where to watch the ALL-Ireland - in
Europe
- Until
recent years, a pub had to get a seperate Setanta Sports
'blackbox' with a setanta sport smart card. It was easier
for Setanta Sports to be able to list their venues then.
- Today
most venues that have Sky Satellite TV may be able to
purchase Setanta also - (Setanta broadcasts the GAA matches)
- whether those pubs are willing to pay for Setanta or not
is another thing. Setanta Sports is an unsubscribed
channel of the Sky Satellite Platform. But the option is
there to contact Setanta sports and enable the channel - for
a fee.
- The
list below is therefore incomplete, as now a pub could decide to
pay to receive the Setanta Sports, on the week of a particular
match.
- The
next option to find a nearby Irish pub and check if they have
coverage :
- European
Irish is the only resource with contact details for more
than 2200 Irish Pubs of Europe
