It connects Irish people in Europe, with Irish Services and other Irish people & Irish groups in Europe.
Initially a resource for Irish people based in Europe, it quickly evolved to also being a resource for Irish people planning to head to Europe, and non-Irish Europeans interested in Irish Music, Sport, Culture, and Pubs.
It was run on a voluntary part-time basis since 2003.
It has won Golden Web Awards and awards from the American Association of Webmasters.

With traffic exceeding 2 million page views by 2006, and more than 10 million hits in the first 4 years, it was time to look at supporting this on a full-time basis, and upgrading the entire site, based on users' feedback.
On January 11th 2008, our new-look EuropeanIrish.com was launched, it is now being run on a full-time basis.
The website had 960,000 visitors in 2007, visiting 6.5 million webpages.
EuropeanIrish.com head office is located in Cork, Ireland,
with a team also based across the Continent.
In 2007 - 2008, EuropeanIrish.com was one of the select businesses on the Genesis Enterprise Programme ( www.gep.ie ), enterpreneurial enterprises backed by CIT Cork, IT Tralee, and Enterprise Ireland, and South Cork Enterprise Board.
In November 2007, EuropeanIrish.com was appointed the Official Media Partner of the European GAA.
January/February 2008, EuropeanIrish.com new website relaunched.
April 2008, EuropeanIrish.com won Ireland's Genesis Enterprise Market Entry Success Award 2008, adjudicated by Ernst & Young, Thomas Crosbie Holdings, AIB, Nitrosell and Jerry Kennelly.

Siasy is short for Proinsias, the Irish/Gaelic name for Frank or Francis. Siasy is pronounced Shee-see
Siasy has been reporting on the Irish Sport, music and Cultural Scene in Europe, since 1996.
He has played Gaelic Football in France, Luxembourg, Brussels, The Hague, Dusseldorf, USA, Canada, London and was involved in Irish Cultural, Music and Dancing Events there.
A fan of all sports, he has played badminton at inter-county and Intervarsity level, and holds 2 All-Ireland Hurling medals.
He was a Founding Member of European GAA County Board, and an officer and PRO with Paris Gaels GAA Club.
He created the first Paris Gaels GAA , and European GAA websites,
from which evolved www.EuropeanIrish.com
During Research, he discovered a vibrant European Irish Dancing, Irish Music and Cultural Scene, and well as 2000+ Irish Pubs which form the core of atmosphere in many European Cities and Towns - from Russia to Iceland, Spain to Turkey.
With Business, Marketing and Software background, Siasy has worked for the past 20 years in France, USA, Canada & UK - as well as in Ireland, with leading edge businesses - Major Irish and International companies such as Kerry Group Plc, Motorola Ireland Ltd, American Airlines and Resarail -Reservation systems for French Rail SNCF.
Siasy is a University College Cork post-graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and Higher Diploma in Computer Science, as well as many other qualifications.
Working with Motorola Ireland until April 2007, its closure allowed the opportunity to focus on EuropeanIrish.com on a full-time basis, which he has been doing ever since.

Offaly native Niamh Madden works as a freelance writer and translator.
She graduated with an MA in Writing from NUIG and has published articles, short stories, and reviews in a variety of both national and international publications.
Niamh was also long-listed for New Writer of the Year 2008 in the Over The Edge short story competition. She regularly writes for UK music magazine Narc, Irish indie website Cluas, and EuropeanIrish.
Niamh always welcomes new writing projects and is available for a multitude of tasks, including feature-writing, travel articles, reviews and more.
Katarzyna Wilczynska,

Katarzyna, is a Polish name for Kathrin, Catherine or Katie. Friends and family call her Kasia, but on EuropeanIrish is known as Katarzyna.
Katarzyna began working for EuropeanIrish in October 2007 on a part-time basis, and since December 2007, she has been working with EuropeanIrish.com every day.
She also spends part of her day working on her University Masters about E-tourism services.
She graduated in Marketing and Management studies, with specialisation in E-business at the Maritime Academy in Gdynia (Poland).
Katarzyna had been a volunteer in “Dr Clown” -foundation helping children. She visits children in hospitals and has worked as their Marketing Manager.
In 2007, she spent the last semester of her studies in Ireland, studying at Cork Institute of Technology. There she learnt a lot about International Marketing, Marketing & Sales Management, which she implements every day at work with EuropeanIrish.com.
She also experienced quite a bit about Irish habits, culture and the way of life.
It was during this term that she joined Europeanirish.com, bringing to the team her Continental experience, her flair for Marketing, her creative nature, and her dedication to help Europeanirish.com to grow.
There are three things she loves, which are similar to many Irish people:

• Adores a pint of Guinness or Stout in a pub

What’s more, she really likes her job at EuropeanIrish.com, as she continues to learn a lot of things.
