EuropeanIrish.com

  Original Logo

was first launched in April 21st 2003, (Easter Monday).

It connects Irish people in Europe, with Irish Services and other Irish people in Europe.

Initially a resource for Irish people based in Europe, it  quickly evolved to also being a resource for Irish people planning to head to Europe, and non-Irish Europeans interested in Irish Music, Sport, Culture, and Pubs.

It was run on a voluntary part-time basis since 2003.

It has won Golden Web Awards and awards from the American Association of Webmasters.
Golden Web Awards
With traffic exceeding 2 million page views in 2006, and more than 10 million hits in the first 4 years, it was time to look at supporting this on a full-time basis, and upgrading the entire site, based on users' feedback.

On January 11th 2008, our new-look EuropeanIrish.com was launched,
it is now being run on a full-time basis.

The website had 960,000 visitors in 2007, visiting 6.5 million webpages.

EuropeanIrish.com head office is located in Cork, Ireland,
with a team also based across the Continent.

In 2007 - 2008, EuropeanIrish.com is one of the select businesses on the Genesis Enterprise Programme ( www.gep.ie ), enterpreneurial enterprises backed by CIT Cork, IT Tralee, and Enterprise Ireland.

In November 2007, EuropeanIrish.com was appointed the Official Media Partner of the European GAA.

January/February 2008, EuropeanIrish.com new website relaunched.

April 2008, EuropeanIrish.com won Ireland's Genesis Enterprise Market Entry Success Award 2008, adjudicated by Ernst & Young, Thomas Crosbie Holdings,  AIB, Nitrosell and Jerry Kennelly.
