EuropeanIrish.com is the on-line resource for people who are interested in Irish culture and activities and who are either living in Europe or just visiting mainland Europe, that has all they need to know about what’s going on in their local area.

Europeanirish.com has a number of part-time positions available in their Research and News writing department.
These are Part-time 1 or 2 hours per week positions.

We provide you with many sources for news stories –
You write 4 brief News stories per week, focussing on that Region only, or on Irish Sport in Europe, or on Irish Entertainment in Europe, or Irish Culture, or Irish Business in Europe

East & Central Europe
Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary,
Israel, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine

South Europe
Andorra, Balearic Islands, Canaries, Gibraltar, Italy, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Slovenia, Vatican, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus, Greece

North Europe
Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden

West Europe
Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland

The ideal candidate must have

excellent written English.
You love writing
You have your own laptop/PC, you have internet access, and can work from home or college.
You have a minimum of 4-6 hours free each month.
Committed to meeting deadlines.
Do you keep a blog, regularly update your own facebook, myspace or bebo page?
If you regularly post on the internet, we wish to hear from you.

Have you ever written for a magazine, or publication?
Do what you love, and get paid for it.

The successful applicants will be writing News stories on Music, Culture and Sport. You would be researching news stories and events and reports online, and writing summary snippets about these news stories.

Also you would be researching and finding new stories from these a number of resources which we provide to you, as well as online searches.

You would work on your own initiative, be a self-starter and enjoy writing, and having it published online.

A keen interest in any of the following would certainly help you – Sport, all sports played in, or by Irish sports players, would be an advantage
Interest in Music, particularly Irish bands, Irish music, and/or Irish dancing would an advantage.

Excellent written English
Regular user of the Internet and computers
Good timekeeping
Meets deadlines

Great to work on own initiative.
