There are Annual Irish Dancing Feiseanna (Competitions for Irish Dancing) in Minsk, Kiev, Osessa and Moscow, with more than 20 Irish Dancing teachers and schools in the region

There are 5 Irish dancing schools in Belarus.
Bassdance , Gloria School of Irish Dancing, Green Hills School of Irish Dancing and Phoenix School of Irish Dancing are all based in Minsk, with Vargentorn Irish Dancing based in Vitebsk.

The first ever Minsk Irish Dancing Feis is being held this December on the weekend of the 12th and 13th, with the aid and assistance of the World Irish Dance Association.


In the Ukraine, next year, co-inciding with St Valentine's Day (14 Feb 2009), The Kiev Irish Dancing Feis will be held. Ukraine also has an Odessa Open Feis held in September, and Kharakov Open Feis was held at the start of this month, October. Irish dancers will be preparing for these in 2009 also. Today there are up to 8 different Irish Dancing Schools or teachers in Kiev, Sevastopol, Kharkov and Odessa.

Firedance, Narnia School of Irish Dancing and Shannon River Irish Dancing School are in Kiev. Celtic Dance and Eirindance are in Sevastapol, Odessa School of Irish Dancing IRIDANCE  and Oleg Safonov School of Irish Dancing are based in Odessa, with Unicorn School of Irish Dancing based in Kharkov.

In Russia The Moscow Open Feis is held at the end of September each year,
There is Irish Dancing at Iridan Irish Dancing School Moscow, Shamrock Dance, Mirkwood, Maria Singal, Moonlit Valley, Mervant & St Petersburgh Ceili Club to mention but a few of the 9 or more Irish Dancing Schools in the region.

Irish Dancing in growing and developing in this region - the Tri-Nations of  Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, already with more than 20 Irish Dancing Schools, and 5 Irish Dance Feiseanna.

Who is to say the future Irish Dance show won't originate entirely with Dancers and Choreographers from this region!
