Booking now for 2009 Spring and Summer Festivals in Europe - a Unique Double Act of Irish Plays and Dining experience - truly memorable and enjoyable experience.

You need approx 40 people - who dine and enjoy 2 wonderful acts of theatre over a 3 hour evening.
If you belong to an Irish Club or Society in Europe - You can book this event for a local venue, with a function room that holds 40 people.
it starts in the bar with a 1 hr play, Racoon, followed by a Meal you arrange in the Function Room, afterwhich the 2nd act begins while the audience is still sitting at the dining table.

The Meridian Theatre Company from Ireland is now taking bookings to perform this show at your venue, or your festival in Germany, France and Italy in 2009. And it is inviting enquiries and bookings from other countries a well.

The Lost Field

Raccoon and The Exit Wound

Meridian’s double bill touring package combines two one-act plays dealing with families sundered and re-united in bizarre circumstances.

Raccoon, by Thomas Hall, tells the story of Saoirse who is offered the chance to re-construct her past and her future as a result of a chance encounter in the café where she works. This show played recently at Bewleys Café Theatre to packed houses and critical acclaim.

The Exit Wound, by Johnny Hanrahan, creates an intense ritual of return for an errant trad singer/storyteller who has been on the run from his wife and children for over forty years. The Exit Wound began life at Cork’s Triskel Arts Centre in 2006, but the two shows have been presented as a double bill since May 2007 and have been performed nationwide at formal and non-formal theatre venues.

Raccoon is a one-woman story telling piece told to an audience gathered in a café or bar setting.  Two actors at either end of a long table at which the audience sits perform The Exit Wound. This double bill presents two immensely satisfying shows at a minimal cost and virtually no technical requirements. Each of the shows last approximately 55 minutes and between the shows, the audience can enjoy a delicious meal specially prepared for the event. Ticket price includes admission to both shows and dinner.
