As you may know, one of the aims of EuropeanIrish, is to establish links between the Irish/Ireland-lovers and the Irish events related to each country in Continental Europ e. And this requires a deep study of the relevant social groups in each area.
Not so long ago, the EuropeanIrish team in Spain started developing a new venture called ‘InSpain’ (Irish Network Spain), a platform hosted by EuropeanIrish that gathers and provides coverage of all the news related to Ireland and the Irish in Spain. But to be able to target the Spanish public interested in Ireland as well, we provide a bilingual format, allowing a wide range of people to join this network and thereby bringing them closer to Irish culture, language and music…
Little by little, we’ve been learning more about this sparkling Irish life in Spain, so close to us that we might not even be conscious of it: musicians, artists, bloggers, students, GAA players, Spanish people who fall in love with Ireland and Irish people who fall in love with Spain…
So for Irish residents in Spain, people interested in the green Eire, anyone interested in meeting new friends… it’s time for us to meet up and to share experiences and projects in the coming month of Septe mber (19 th-20 th) in Madrid.
EuropeanIrish, along with Innisfree1916 (an Irish-related blog recommended by Lonely Planet), suggests a weekend full of nice surprises and encounters. We would love to count on your collaboration to make these days unforgettable. How? It’s easy. On Saturday 19 th , we are giving you the opportunity of sharing the projects you’re working on to keep in touch with Ireland (the main issue for this meeting: ‘Spain: keeping in touch with Ireland’). You are all invited to join us, by sending your ideas and suggestions to Europeanirish or Innisfree1916.
Even though the schedule for the weekend is not definite the plan for Saturday night is promising: if you can play any instrument, do not leave it at home, because there will be a jam session for anybody to join in.
You can register for this event on the Wiki or on Facebook, where you can also leave your comments and suggestions.
