Cumann Warszawa played in their first Men's East and Central Gaelic football Regional tournament in Vienna on April 24. Budapest Ranger took the major honours

The first ever Championship appearance by a Gaelic Football team from Poland , saw 4 teams keenly contesting the second round of the Men's East and Central Gaelic football Regional Championship in Vienna Austria on April 24.

Vienna Gaels hosted this second round of the Regional Championship- played over 4 rounds. Munich and Zurich did not travel to this tournament in Austria.

3 other teams that competed on Saturday were Prague Hibernians who already hosted their first ever tournament earlier with the first round, Budapest Rangers and the newcomers from Poland, Cumann Warszawa.

Playing a round robin league to being with, Prague openned with a 4-9 to 1-3 win over Vienna Gaels. Debutants from Warsaw scored 2-2 against the established Budapest rangers, who scored 10 points to win that match.

Warsaw also lost to Prague Hibernians, while Vienna Gaels scored 1-4 losing to high scoring Budapest Rangers 6-7.

Through to the Final were Budapest Rangers and Prague Hibernians. Tom Vaughan of Budapest Rangers played a stormer in the Final and helped the Hungarian side to excel past the Czech footballers. Budapest won the final 2-4 to 0-2.
Cumann Warszawa captured 3rd place in the playoff match against Vienna Gaels, scoring 5-5 to Vienna Gaels 1-2.

At the presentation of tournament winners, Tom Vaughan was awarded Player of the Tournament.

Prague Hibernians 4:9 Vienna Gaels 1:3

Cumann Warszawa 2:2 Budapest Rangers 0:10

Prague Hibernians 2:8 Cumann Warszawa 0:3

Vienna Gaels 1-4 Budapest Rangers 6-7

No 3rd round games played
- straight through to 3/4 playoff match and final

3rd/4th place playoff

Cumann Warszawa 5:5 Vienna Gaels 1:2

Final

Budapest Rangers 2:4 Prague Hibernians 0:2
