Liffré won Nantes Beach Gaelic Football Championship with 7 teams from France, and Ireland.
In glorious sunshine on the Brittany beaches, In Pool A of this novel unique Gaelic football Tournament, Guerande began with a 6-1 to 0-2 win over Pornichet. Liffre won 6-3 to 0-2 against Nantes.
Similar results saw Nantes defeating Pornichet, scoring 7-3 on the way to victory. Liffre defeated Guerande.
Liffre topped the group with a 3rd match win over Pornichet.
The 2nd place Semi-Final spot saw a great decider between hosts Nantes and new GAA club Guerande.
Scoring 1-2 for Guerande was not enough as the hosts scored 2 goals and 4 points.
IN the 2nd Pool match (B), Paris defeated Rennes, Kilkenny lost 3-3 to 7-7 to Paris.
Rennes 4-1 was enough to defeat Kilkenny ladies football who notched 1-5 in their deeat.
The Quarter Finals matched Nantes V Kilkenny, the hosts coming out on top.
Rennes defeated Guerande, and Paris won (by default) their QF.
Liffre beat Rennes int he semi-final
Paris and Nantes played out a close 2-5 to 2-1 defeat for nantes.
The Tournament final - Liffre powered their way to a terrific win 7-8 to 1-4 to lift the Nantes 7-a-side Beach Gaelic Football trophy.
