| The Irish have defeated Italy in the RBS Six Nations opener in a tough yet comfortable encounter. Leading 23-7 at half time, Croke park crowd were anticipating a romping in the second half - but it never materialise. Ireland won 29-11. Ireland opened with a Ronan O'Gara penalty on 9 minutes Ireland 3-0 Italy. 4 minutes later, a move from O'Gara to Trimble, to Rob Kearney - 7 metres from the line, the ruck feeds to D'Arcy - to O'Driscoll, - to Wallace - who feeds Jamie Heaslip - who goes over and down for a great Irish try. 8-0, it is converted by O'Gara 10-0. On 25 minutes Italy win a penalty and score 10-3. After the half-hour mark Ireland wins another penalty, which on-form O'Gara converts. Another try for Ireland at 35 minutes by O'Leary ... | |||

The Judith Mok Hamsa Ensemble will perform on 18th and 19th February at 7.30pm in the Centre Culturel Irlandais. | |||
The performance will include: Nick Roth (saxophone), Oleg Ponomarev (violin), Cora Venus Lunny (viola), Francesco Turissi (percussion & keyboard) and Simon Jermyn (guitar). Judith Mok, partly of Sephardic descent, and her Dublin-based ensemble of world class musicians will give two concerts bringing together widely different styles of music from Jewish and Islamic cultures.Reservation is recommended for this event.

The band is headed by Michael M. Jung and perform Celtic Rock and Irish Folk songs. G.O.D have been performing for over nine years in Germany, Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands with over 1300 concerts under their belts. Songwriter Michael M. Jung has written over 170 songs over the years and the band have recorded many CDs. With a blend of Reggae, Ska, Gothic, Metal and Irish traditional influences, the band's sound is unique and not to be missed. | |||

GpB: Russia, Slovakia, Republic of Ireland, FYR Macedonia, Armenia, Andorra; GpC:Group C: Italy, Serbia, Northern Ireland, Slovenia, Estonia, Faroe Islands. An Eitre are a spectacular five piece band who have their own interpretation of Irish traditional music. Driving Irish instrumental dance tunes and ballads and stories from the vast store of Irish and Scottish songs. An Eitre have played together since January 2003 frequently touring Sweden and Germany, and Belgium lately. Eitre's debut CD "The Coming of Spring" was released in 2005.
