“Poetry brought me to Spain”, Dónal tells us. Poetry? There are many reasons why Irish people have chosen to come to Spain, but nobody had ever given me such an answer. But, quite literally, he did come because of poetry: “Alfred Bradley was a radio producer for the BBC. When he died, his family created a prize for all those people who wrote something which might be transmitted by radio. I sent away some poems before leaving England and I was called. The second edition of the “Enraizados en el Viento” international music festival took place in Cordoba on the 16th of January last. "The portal reads as a virtual survey of Czech literature, with an illustrated database of literary links and bibliographies. Perhaps more importantly, however, the site offers English-language readers an introduction to many contemporary Czech writers, whose work might otherwise be lost in translation."
